The Ministry of Environment confirmed on Wednesday that ongoing treatment is being administered to Kawanthissa, the tusker that has been moving through the Galgamuwa region. The therapeutic programme began following a specialized operation mounted in the vicinity of Usgala Siyambalangamuwa Wewa early on September 24.
A dedicated team from the Department of Wildlife Conservation, operating under veterinary supervision, conducted the operation to address the animal's health concerns.
