Tribal Affairs Ministry, Karmayogi Bharat partner to upskill 1.54 lakh volunteers

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs and Karmayogi Bharat have formalized an agreement to establish a specialized Tribal Affairs Capacity Building Platform within the iGOT Karmayogi ecosystem. The partnership represents a significant step toward professionalizing the volunteer workforce engaged in tribal development initiatives across India.

Under the collaborative framework, the platform will facilitate structured training and skill development for approximately 1.54 lakh volunteers working in tribal-focused programs. The initiative targets volunteers involved in various aspects of tribal welfare, community development, and governance at grassroots levels.

The iGOT Karmayogi framework, the government's integrated online platform for personnel capacity development, will serve as the technological backbone for content delivery, course management, and performance tracking. This digital infrastructure aims to ensure standardized, scalable training modules accessible to volunteers across diverse geographical regions.

The partnership underscores the government's commitment to enhancing institutional capacity within the tribal affairs sector.
