Tricog Health aims for 100 million cardiac screenings by 2030
Bengaluru-based cardiac healthtech firm Tricog Health has set an ambitious target to screen 100 million patients for heart disease by 2030, as India grapples with rising cardiovascular mortality rates.

Tricog Health, which leverages artificial intelligence and connected diagnostic technology alongside clinical expertise, has already screened over 41 million patients since its establishment in 2014. The company currently processes screenings for more than one million patients monthly across its global operations, according to Founder and CEO Dr Charit Bhograj.
The expansion comes as cardiovascular disease remains India's leading cause of death, with projections indicating this trend will persist well beyond 2050. Alarmingly, one in five heart attacks in India occur in individuals below 45 years of age, underscoring the scale of the diagnostic challenge facing the nation's healthcare system.
Tricog Health's public health initiatives began in Goa in 2018 and have since extended to Maharashtra, Telangana, Odisha, Bihar, Karnataka, and Manipur. Internationally, the firm operates across 14 Global South countries, including the Philippines, Malaysia, and Kenya, positioning itself as a significant player in addressing cardiovascular disease across emerging economies.
India's cardiology infrastructure remains constrained, with approximately 6,500 cardiologists and 50,000 physicians serving a population of 1.4 billion. This shortage underscores the critical need for scalable diagnostic solutions that can extend specialist-level cardiac screening to underserved populations.
