Trinamool Congress MP's Kolkata office ransacked in early morning attack

The vandalism at the Kolkata office of Abhishek Banerjee, a senior Trinamool Congress MP and nephew of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, occurred around 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Eyewitnesses reported seeing three to four masked individuals forcibly entering the premises and removing televisions, computer equipment, and other office materials.

The Trinamool Congress has alleged that the attack was carried out by workers affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party, though no official confirmation has been received from law enforcement authorities. The incident comes amid heightened political tensions in West Bengal between the ruling TMC and the opposition BJP.

Local police have registered a case following a complaint filed by the party. Officials are examining CCTV footage from the area to identify the perpetrators. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities yet to confirm the identities or affiliations of those involved in the vandalism.
