Trinamool Rebels Offer Nandigram Seat to Mamata Banerjee

Trinamool Congress rebels in Nandigram have extended an olive branch to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, offering to step aside and allow her to contest the assembly bypoll scheduled for October 6. Ritabrata Banerjee, a senior rebel member, indicated the dissident faction's willingness to accommodate the chief minister's electoral ambitions. "We also want Mamata Banerjee to come to the assembly," he stated, underscoring the rebels' desire to see the party leadership directly participate in the bypoll.
