Tropical depression forms east of Luzon, expected to avoid Philippine waters

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) confirmed the development of a tropical depression from an earlier low pressure area positioned east of Luzon in its 5 a.m. forecast on Friday. According to weather specialist Obet Badrina, the system's current trajectory suggests it will remain outside the Philippine area of responsibility, or PAR, which covers weather phenomena within the country's weather monitoring zone.
Pagesa continues to track the system's movement and intensity as it develops over the open Pacific waters. While the tropical depression poses no immediate threat to the Philippines, the agency maintains routine monitoring protocols to ensure any changes in the system's path are promptly communicated to the public.
