Tropical depression's outer bands to drench Visayas, Mindanao

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued the weather advisory Wednesday evening, forecasting that the trough of a tropical depression will maintain its influence over the Visayas and Mindanao on Thursday, September 24.

Residents in these regions should prepare for wet conditions as the system brings organized rainfall bands across the area. Pagasa advised communities to monitor updates as weather conditions may change, particularly in areas prone to flooding and landslides.

Beyond the direct influence zone, the rest of the archipelago may experience isolated to scattered thunderstorms throughout the day. These localized convective activities are typical for the season and generally remain brief in duration, though residents are urged to remain weather-aware.
