A tropical depression located outside the Philippine area of responsibility is expected to remain beyond the country's monitoring zone. However, residents should prepare for scattered rains as easterly and northeasterly winds intensify across the archipelago.

MANILA — The state weather bureau said Tuesday that a tropical depression positioned outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) is unlikely to move into the country's monitoring zone in the coming days. As of 3 a.m., the system was tracked at approximately 2,790 kilometers from Philippine territory, with meteorologists determining it poses no direct threat to the nation.

Despite the tropical depression remaining outside PAR, the Philippines will experience increased rainfall activity across various regions due to prevailing easterly and northeasterly wind flows. The weather bureau cautioned residents in affected areas to monitor conditions closely, particularly in susceptible localities prone to flooding and landslides.

Meteorologers advised the public to stay updated on weather bulletins as wind patterns continue to influence atmospheric conditions throughout the archipelago. While the distant tropical system poses minimal risk, the enhancement of moisture-laden winds from the northeast could produce moderate to heavy rainfall in some areas over the next several days.
