Tropical Storm Pilandok exits Philippine waters, poses no threat

Tropical Storm Pilandok, known internationally as Krovanh, exited the Philippine area of responsibility in the early morning hours of Thursday, the state weather bureau reported. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued the update in its 5 a.m. weather forecast, signaling the end of the weather system's passage through Philippine territory.

Weather specialist Leanne Loreto of Pagasa confirmed that the tropical storm would not bring direct impacts to the Philippines as it continues its westward trajectory away from the country. The departure of Pilandok clears the threat of significant weather disruptions that residents had been monitoring.
