Tropical Storm Pilandok May Return to Philippine Region Sunday

MANILA — Tropical Storm Pilandok, known internationally as Krovanh, may reenter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported.
In its 5 a.m. weather forecast, Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina indicated that as of 3 a.m. Sunday, the storm was being monitored as it approached the archipelago's borders. The agency warned of expected rainfall across parts of Luzon and the Visayas region.
Residents in affected areas are advised to monitor updates from Pagasa as the weather system moves closer to the country. The bureau continues to track Pilandok's movement and may issue additional warnings and weather advisories as conditions develop.
Tropical cyclone preparedness protocols remain in effect for communities in the potential path of the storm, with local government units urged to ensure readiness for possible flooding and landslides.
