A 42-year-old truck helper was killed while the driver was injured in a collision involving a freight truck and an Isuzu refrigerated van on Wednesday night in Atimonan, Quezon. The accident took place at 8:15 p.m. on a diversion road in Barangay Malinao Ilaya as the truck navigated a descending, curved section of the roadway. Authorities said the truck driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle during the maneuver, leading to the collision with the refrigerated van. The truck helper was declared dead at the scene, while the driver was transported for medical treatment.
