Turkish Airlines is moving to significantly expand its air connectivity between Dhaka and Istanbul, signalling growing confidence in the Bangladesh market and reinforcing the carrier's hub strategy for South Asia.

Turkish Airlines has announced plans to increase its weekly service on the Dhaka-Istanbul route to 10 flights, doubling its current capacity on the strategically important corridor. The expansion reflects the airline's commitment to strengthening air links between Bangladesh and Turkey, while positioning Istanbul as a key transit hub for passengers travelling between South Asia and Europe.

The planned frequency increase comes as Turkish Airlines continues to invest in its South Asian operations. Istanbul's Atatürk Airport and the newer Istanbul Airport serve as major connection points for regional traffic, offering passengers convenient onward connectivity to numerous European destinations and beyond.

The route expansion is expected to enhance travel options for both leisure and business passengers, while potentially boosting tourism and trade ties between Bangladesh and Turkey. The additional flights will also provide greater scheduling flexibility for travellers seeking connections through Istanbul to Western Europe and other destinations.

Turkish Airlines has maintained a presence in Bangladesh for several years and has progressively built its network in the region. The planned service increase is subject to regulatory approvals and operational considerations. The carrier has not yet specified a timeline for implementing the expanded schedule.
