TVS Motor sales surge 24% in September on two-wheeler, export gains

TVS Motor Company reported robust growth across its portfolio in September, with total vehicle sales climbing 24 per cent year-on-year. The Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer benefited from strong domestic demand and a significant surge in electric two-wheeler sales.

TVS Motor sales surge 24% in September on two-wheeler, export gains

TVS Motor Company's total vehicle sales reached 672,790 units in September, up from 541,064 units in the same month last year, reflecting broad-based strength across its product categories. Two-wheeler sales, the company's primary business segment, grew 23 per cent to 645,955 units compared with 523,923 units in September 2025.

Domestic two-wheeler sales expanded 17 per cent to 482,073 units in September from 413,279 units a year earlier. The standout performer was the electric two-wheeler segment, which more than doubled its sales to 65,799 units from 31,266 units in the corresponding period of 2025, underscoring rising consumer interest in electric mobility solutions.

International markets proved particularly buoyant, with overseas business deliveries jumping 48 per cent to 180,700 units in September. Two-wheeler exports surged at the same rate, reaching 163,882 units compared with 110,644 units in the prior-year month. The three-wheeler segment also demonstrated strong momentum, registering 57 per cent growth with sales of 26,835 units against 17,141 units in September 2025.

The company's September performance reflects continued consumer confidence in the two-wheeler market and growing traction for its electric vehicle offerings, positioning TVS Motor to benefit from India's ongoing shift toward sustainable transportation solutions.
