An earthquake measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale shook Hingoli district in Maharashtra's eastern region at 7:46 am, with its epicentre located at Gadhala village at a depth of 7 kilometres. The tremor was accompanied by an audible rumbling sound that alarmed residents in the affected area.
A second quake struck the same district within hours of the first, though specific details regarding its magnitude and timing were still being compiled by seismic monitoring authorities.
