Two Andhra Pradesh Men Detained for Unauthorised Temple Photography

Two individuals hailing from Andhra Pradesh were taken into custody on charges of photographing the interior of the Arunachaleswarar temple in violation of temple protocols. The men were detained following a complaint from temple authorities who discovered them taking pictures inside the sanctum without prior authorisation.

Temple officials stated that the unauthorised photography was detected during routine monitoring. Photography within the inner sanctums of Hindu temples is typically restricted to maintain the sanctity of worship spaces and protect the privacy of devotees engaged in religious activities.

Police registered a case against the two men following the complaint filed by temple management. The exact charges and the circumstances that led to the detention are being investigated by the local authorities.
