Law enforcement in Banda, Uttar Pradesh, has arrested two accused in connection with the abduction and gang rape of a minor girl, according to officials. The incident came to light after the victim's family filed a complaint with local police.
Investigators allege that the accused lured the minor under false pretenses before taking her on a motorcycle to a secluded location where the assault occurred. Family members claim the perpetrators threatened the victim with dire consequences if the incident was reported to anyone.
The arrested individuals are currently in police custody. Authorities have initiated medical examination procedures and have begun recording the victim's formal statement before the court as part of standard investigative protocol in cases of this nature.
Police said they are pursuing further investigations into the matter. The case has been registered under relevant sections of Indian law pertaining to sexual offences against minors.
