Investigators also recovered forged medical credentials allegedly used by the suspects to gain access to patients and dispense medications.
The arrests form part of ongoing efforts by authorities to curb fraudulent medical practitioners operating within the country. The Walana Central Anti-Corruption Unit has been intensifying operations against individuals engaged in unlicensed healthcare activities, which pose significant public health and safety risks.
The suspects are currently in custody pending further investigation. The case highlights the vulnerability of communities to health-related fraud and the importance of verifying medical practitioners' credentials before seeking treatment.
