Two arrested with crystal methamphetamine after Kotadeniyawa road incident

Law enforcement personnel apprehended two individuals in connection with a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the Kotadeniyawa area, with authorities subsequently discovering crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as 'Ice', in their possession.

The arrests were made following a routine traffic incident investigation, during which officers conducted a search of the suspects and their vehicle. The discovery of the controlled substance led to formal charges being filed against both individuals.

The seizure adds to ongoing efforts by Sri Lankan police to combat illicit drug trafficking across the country. Officers continue to intensify operations targeting the distribution and possession of methamphetamine, which has become an escalating concern in communities across the island.
