Two bodies recovered from Tarlac bridge collapse aftermath
Recovery efforts have yielded two of four missing occupants from a sport utility vehicle that plunged into the Tarlac River following the partial collapse of Agana Bridge last month. The bodies were discovered in separate locations across Pangasinan province on Tuesday.

TARLAC CITY — Authorities have recovered the remains of two individuals from a sport utility vehicle that sank in the Tarlac River after Agana Bridge partially collapsed on August 29. The recovery operations, which have been ongoing for weeks, yielded results on Tuesday when the bodies were located in different areas of Pangasinan. One of the identified deceased was James Patrick Taborlupa, whose remains were recovered from a fishing net.
The SUV carrying four occupants plunged into the river when the bridge structure gave way. The search and rescue operation has continued as authorities work to locate the remaining two missing persons from the incident.
The partial collapse of Agana Bridge raised concerns about infrastructure integrity in the region and prompted assessments of similar structures in Tarlac. Investigations into the cause of the bridge failure are ongoing as rescue teams persist in their efforts to recover the remaining missing individuals.
