Two Cockroach Jana Party members held in separate Tihar jail facilities

Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, both affiliated with the Cockroach Jana Party, have been placed under five-day judicial custody at Tihar Prison following their arrest. Das is being held at Tihar Jail Number 2, while Ranka has been detained at Jail Number 4 within the sprawling complex on Delhi's outskirts.

The separation of the two detainees into different facilities is a standard practice in cases involving multiple arrests from the same organization. Judicial custody allows authorities to hold suspects while investigations proceed, with regular court reviews determining the duration of detention.

Separately, Ajinkya Shinde, also connected to the case, has been released on conditional bail. The terms of his release are expected to be reviewed periodically by the court overseeing the matter.

The arrests and detention orders reflect ongoing law enforcement action against members of the activist group. Details regarding the specific charges and the nature of the investigation remain under court review.
