Emergency services responded to a major traffic accident on Mattakkuliya Road following a multi-vehicle collision that resulted in two fatalities and multiple serious injuries.
The incident involved five vehicles including a motor car, three auto-rickshaws and four motorcycles. Four individuals sustained serious injuries and were transported to hospital for treatment following the crash.
Police and rescue personnel attended the scene to manage traffic flow and coordinate emergency response efforts. The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation.
