LUCENA CITY — Two motorcycle riders were killed and two others were injured across separate traffic accidents in Quezon province on Monday, provincial police said.
The first fatal crash occurred at 1:45 p.m. in Barangay Manggalang, Guinayangan town, when a 39-year-old farmer operating a motorcycle suddenly lost control of the vehicle. The incident resulted in one fatality and left a female passenger with injuries.
Police did not immediately disclose details regarding the second fatal accident or the circumstances surrounding the injuries sustained by the two other riders involved in the separate incident.
The deaths underscore ongoing concerns about road safety in the province, where motorcycle accidents remain a significant cause of casualties. Authorities did not provide additional information about whether speed, weather conditions, or mechanical failure contributed to either crash.
