Two hospitalised after fire breaks out at Mei Ling Street HDB block

Emergency services responded to a fire at an HDB block located on Mei Ling Street, with the incident prompting the evacuation of around 25 residents from the affected building. Two individuals were subsequently transported to hospital for medical assessment and treatment following the blaze. The Singapore Civil Defence Force attended the scene and brought the fire under control. Investigations into the cause of the fire are underway. Residents were allowed to return to their homes once the situation was deemed safe by emergency personnel.
