Two JeM terrorists neutralised in J&K counter-terror operation

Two terrorists believed to be affiliated with Pakistan-based militant group Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) have been neutralised in an ongoing security operation in Udhampur district, Jammu and Kashmir, officials confirmed Thursday.
The joint counter-terrorism operation, conducted by the Army's White Knight Corps, local police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), targeted the Brattal and Khubban areas of Majalta following confirmed intelligence about terrorist presence in the region. Despite incessant rainfall, poor visibility and difficult terrain characteristic of the high-altitude forest zone, troops launched the targeted operation during the night of September 16-17.
The Army confirmed the successful neutralisation of both militants. "The operation is still in progress, with search and surveillance continuing in the area," officials said, indicating that security forces remain positioned to track and eliminate any remaining militants in the zone.
The operation represents continued counter-insurgency efforts in the region, where Pakistani militant groups have maintained presence despite ongoing security operations.
