Two killed in highway collision between car and lorry in Andhra Pradesh

Two men lost their lives in a tragic road accident on NH-326 near Chintoor in Polavaram district when their car collided head-on with a heavy-laden lorry. One of the victims, a youth, was burnt alive in the impact, while the driver of the vehicle succumbed to his injuries shortly after the collision.
The accident occurred while the two men were en route from Hyderabad to East Godavari district. The iron-laden lorry, travelling in the opposite direction, struck their car with considerable force, leaving the vehicle mangled and engulfed in flames.
Local authorities and rescue teams rushed to the scene following the accident. The charred remains of the victims were recovered from the wreckage, and their bodies were shifted for post-mortem examination. The exact cause of the collision is being investigated by highway police.
The accident adds to the growing toll of fatal road accidents on major highways in the region, raising fresh concerns about traffic safety and enforcement of speed regulations on National Highways.
