Two Korean nationals arrested in Clark drug bust worth P1 million

Philippine authorities have arrested two Korean nationals employed by a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator following a drug sting operation at Clark Freeport Zone. The suspects were found in possession of ketamine valued at approximately P1 million.

MABALACAT CITY — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency's Central Luzon office arrested two Korean nationals during a buy-bust operation at Clark Freeport Zone on Tuesday. The suspects, aged 31 and 38, were apprehended following the confiscation of ketamine with an estimated street value of P1 million.

According to PDEA authorities, the two men were employees of a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator based in the economic zone. The operation was conducted as part of ongoing enforcement efforts against illegal drug trafficking in the region.

The suspects remain in custody pending investigation and the filing of appropriate charges. The confiscated narcotics have been turned over to the PDEA laboratory for confirmatory testing. The case highlights authorities' continued focus on combating drug syndicates operating within special economic zones.
