Two members of parliament were among six people injured in a vehicular collision in Delhi that occurred in the aftermath of a CNG cylinder explosion. Anil Jha, the sitting MLA from Kirari in Delhi, and Abhay Patel, an MLA from Karnataka, sustained injuries when their sport utility vehicle was struck by another car that had lost control.

According to officials, the incident unfolded when the CNG cylinder explosion caused a vehicle to veer dangerously across traffic lanes. The out-of-control car subsequently collided with the SUV carrying the two legislators.

Beyond the two lawmakers, four other occupants of the vehicles involved were also injured in the impact. Emergency services responded to the scene and provided medical assistance to those affected. Officials are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the CNG cylinder explosion that precipitated the collision.

CNG-related incidents have periodically raised safety concerns in metropolitan areas across India, particularly regarding cylinder maintenance and vehicle inspection standards. Authorities have indicated they will examine whether proper safety protocols were followed in this case.
