Two men charged after driving against traffic while under drug influence
Two motorists have been charged in connection with dangerous driving offences in Singapore's western districts. Both men were allegedly operating their vehicles against the flow of traffic while under the influence of etomidate, a controlled substance.

The two men were apprehended following separate incidents in the Jurong and Choa Chu Kang areas. Investigations revealed that both had been driving their vehicles in the wrong direction on roadways, creating significant hazards for other road users.
The substance etomidate, which is subject to strict regulatory controls in Singapore, was detected in both drivers during testing. The drug is known to impair cognitive and motor functions, substantially elevating risks associated with vehicle operation.
