Two men jailed for violent burglary of footballer Donnarumma in Paris

Two men have received jail sentences following a violent burglary at the Paris home of Italy international Gianluigi Donnarumma during his time with Paris Saint-Germain.

The incident occurred while Donnarumma, now at Manchester City, and his then-fiancée, now wife, were at their residence in the French capital. The pair were attacked during the home invasion, which resulted in criminal charges against the perpetrators.

The men were convicted and sentenced to jail terms for their roles in the violent crime. The case highlighted security concerns faced by high-profile athletes living in major European cities.

Donnarumma joined PSG in 2021 before his transfer to Manchester City in 2023. The goalkeeper has represented Italy at international level and is considered one of Europe's top shot-stoppers.
