Two More Accused Arrested in Sagar Hooch Tragedy; 39 in Custody

Law enforcement officials in Sagar have intensified their crackdown on those responsible for the hooch tragedy, with two more key accused persons arrested following an encounter with police. During the operation, one of the suspects sustained a leg injury when officers fired in self-defence, according to Sagar Superintendent of Police Anurag Sujania. The injured accused, along with Ashish Sahu, was subsequently taken into custody. The coordinated arrest efforts have now resulted in a total of 39 individuals being held in connection with the incident. The hooch tragedy has triggered a major investigation into the production and distribution networks behind the consumption of counterfeit liquor. Authorities are continuing their search for any remaining suspects involved in the case. The incident has prompted stringent enforcement measures against illegal alcohol manufacturing and sale in the region.
