Two motorcyclists killed in failed overtaking crash in Jasin
Two men died in a motorcycle collision on a main road in Jasin, Melaka on Wednesday afternoon. The accident occurred when one rider attempted an unsafe overtaking manoeuvre.

The fatal crash took place on Jalan Gapam near a petrol station in Bemban, Jasin, at approximately 2 p.m. on Sept 4. Initial investigations indicate that one of the motorcyclists attempted to overtake another vehicle when the manoeuvre went wrong, resulting in a collision between the two bikes.
Both riders were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin. Emergency services attended the location and secured the accident site.
The incident has renewed focus on road safety concerns in the area, particularly regarding risky overtaking practices on busy thoroughfares. Traffic on Jalan Gapam was disrupted for several hours as authorities conducted their investigation and cleared the scene.
