Security personnel operating in Arunachal Pradesh have detained two Myanmar nationals following the recovery of narcotics during a border security operation. Officers seized 130.09 grams of a substance suspected to be brown sugar or heroin, which had been carefully hidden within ten soap cases to evade detection.
The seized drug consignment has been valued at around Rs 26 lakh in the illicit market, marking a significant interdiction in the region's ongoing struggle against cross-border drug trafficking. The method of concealment, using everyday household items, reflects the increasingly sophisticated tactics employed by smuggling networks operating across the Myanmar-India border.
