Two siblings lost their lives in a road accident on a Hyderabad highway after their stationary scooter was struck from behind by a speeding sport utility vehicle. The incident occurred when traffic congestion had brought the scooter to a standstill behind a DCM vehicle.

According to reports, a red Mahindra Thar collided with the scooter with considerable force, resulting in fatal injuries to both occupants. The high-speed impact left the victims with injuries from which they could not recover.

The collision has raised fresh concerns about speeding and rash driving on city highways, where congestion frequently brings vehicles to abrupt halts. Authorities have registered details of the incident as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the accident.

The incident underscores the dangers posed by vehicles traveling at excessive speeds in congested traffic conditions, where sudden stops by other road users can prove catastrophic.
