Two terror suspects arrested in Pulwama, weapons cache seized

Security personnel conducted a search operation in a forested area of Pulwama district on Wednesday, leading to the apprehension of two suspects with alleged connections to terrorist groups. The arrests are part of ongoing counter-insurgency efforts in the Kashmir Valley region.

During the operation, authorities recovered one pistol, 12 rounds of pistol ammunition and one hand grenade from the suspects' possession, according to officials. The recovery of weapons and explosives indicates the operational capability of the terror network that the individuals were allegedly associated with.

The two suspects have been taken into custody and are being questioned by security and investigating agencies. Preliminary investigations are underway to establish the full extent of their involvement and identify any links to larger terror networks operating in the region.

The operation is the latest in a series of counter-terror actions undertaken by security forces across Jammu and Kashmir to dismantle militant infrastructure and prevent potential attacks. Pulwama district has remained a focal point of counter-insurgency operations in recent years.
