Two wanted suspects arrested in Dholpur factory assault case

The arrests mark a significant breakthrough in a violent assault case that shocked the local business community in Dholpur. The two suspects, each carrying a bounty of 5,000 rupees on their heads, were apprehended following an investigation into the August 21 incident at a namkeen (savory snacks) manufacturing unit.

Police records indicate that unidentified assailants forcibly entered the factory premises and attacked the father-and-son proprietors with lathis, batons, and a baseball bat. The attack resulted in serious injuries to both victims. During the assault, the perpetrators made off with approximately 1.5 lakh rupees in cash and gold chain jewelry belonging to the family.

Crucially, closed-circuit television cameras installed at the facility captured footage of the entire incident, which proved instrumental in the investigation and subsequent identification of the accused. The CCTV evidence is expected to strengthen the prosecution's case during judicial proceedings.

Dholpur police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code related to dacoity and criminal intimidation. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the motive behind the attack and whether additional suspects remain at large.
