Two women sustained gunshot wounds during a shooting in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte, on Friday morning, Aug. 21, according to authorities. The incident marks another breach of the election gun ban currently in effect across the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region.
Captain Steffi Salanguit, spokesperson for Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, confirmed that a businesswoman and another female were targeted in the violence. Details regarding the circumstances of the shooting and the identities of the suspects remain under investigation.
