Two workers lost their lives at Tuas Port after falling into the sea during stevedoring operations, port operator PSA Singapore said. The workers were engaged in cargo-handling duties at the time of the incident. Emergency response teams were deployed to the scene, but both workers were pronounced dead. The identities of the deceased have not been disclosed. PSA Singapore said it is cooperating fully with relevant authorities in their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident. The incident comes as Singapore's port sector continues to prioritize workplace safety standards. Tuas Port is one of the world's largest transshipment hubs and handles thousands of workers daily across its container terminal operations. The Ministry of Manpower is expected to conduct a full inquiry into the incident to determine the cause and whether safety protocols were followed.
