The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported that Typhoon Champi remained some 1,720 kilometers east of Southern Luzon as of 3 a.m., based on its latest monitoring data released at 5 a.m. Monday.
While the typhoon continues its westward trajectory toward the Philippine area of responsibility, Pagasa noted that no direct effects are anticipated across the country on Monday. The weather bureau continues to monitor Champi's movement and intensity as it approaches Philippine waters.
Residents in affected regions are advised to remain vigilant and monitor subsequent weather updates from Pagasa, as the agency regularly issues forecasts to track the storm's progression. The public is urged to prepare necessary precautions in advance of any potential weather impacts.
