Typhoon Obet leaves Philippine territory as weather bureau confirms exit
Typhoon Obet exited the Philippine area of responsibility Monday evening, the state weather bureau confirmed. The tropical cyclone was last tracked far from Philippine landmass with sustained winds of 155 kilometers per hour.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) announced that Typhoon Obet crossed out of the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Monday.
At the time of its exit, the weather system was positioned 1,310 kilometers east-northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon, moving away from the archipelago. Pagasa reported that Obet maintained maximum sustained wind speeds of 155 kilometers per hour as it departed the country's area of responsibility.
The tropical cyclone's exit from PAR signifies the end of the direct threat to the Philippines, though Pagasa typically continues to monitor the system's track as it moves across the Western Pacific region. The agency had previously issued warnings and advisories as the typhoon approached and traversed Philippine territory.
