Typhoon Obet maintains intensity, tracking well clear of Philippines
Typhoon Obet has held its strength while remaining at a safe distance from Philippine shores, the state weather bureau reported Monday. The storm was positioned roughly 1,430 kilometers east-northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon as of the latest update.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Obet showed no signs of weakening in its Monday evening weather briefing. The tropical cyclone's current position and projected track indicate it will continue moving away from the Philippine archipelago.
According to Pagasa's monitoring, Obet was last recorded at a considerable distance from the country's landmass, placing Philippine territory outside the immediate threat zone. The agency continues to track the storm's movements and intensity levels.
