Typhoon Rosal exits Philippine area of responsibility Saturday

MANILA — Typhoon Rosal exited the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Saturday morning, October 24, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

As of 10 a.m., the typhoon was monitored at a distance of 525 kilometers north-northeast of Itbayat in Batanes, placing it beyond Philippine jurisdiction. The storm continued moving away from the archipelago following its passage through the country earlier in the week.

With Rosal's departure from the PAR, the Philippines' weather services shifted focus to monitoring other weather systems that may affect the region. Pagasa urged residents in areas previously impacted by the typhoon to remain cautious of potential aftereffects, including landslides and flooding in vulnerable communities.
