U.P. Chief Minister directs officials to prepare for Nepal flood spillover

Adityanath has directed officials across Uttar Pradesh to maintain readiness and complete all necessary preparatory measures in response to the severe flood situation unfolding in Nepal. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of sustained vigilance across vulnerable districts likely to be affected by rising water levels and potential overflow from rivers originating in the Himalayan nation.

The state administration has been instructed to activate disaster management protocols, ensuring that relief materials, emergency personnel, and medical facilities are positioned strategically in flood-prone areas. Officials have been asked to conduct rapid assessments of embankments, drainage systems, and evacuation routes to minimize potential damage and loss of life.
