The University of Development Foundation (UDF) nominees have raised objections to a recent reversal of policy regarding examination tabulation procedures at a Sanskrit-medium varsity. In a formal communication to Vice-Chancellor Ciza Thomas, the nominees contested the cancellation of a decision made during the July 17 Syndicate meeting.
The July 17 decision had permitted university officials to address gaps in examination documentation, specifically allowing officials who had not signed tabulation registers—documents prepared before the issuance of final mark sheets—to complete the process retroactively. This provision was intended to address administrative irregularities identified during examination procedures.
The UDF representatives contend that the blanket cancellation of this directive is neither practical nor viable given the complexities involved in examination administration. They argue that such a reversal could create operational difficulties and administrative bottlenecks for the university's examination department.
The dispute reflects broader concerns about examination procedures and documentation standards at the institution. The matter remains under consideration by university administration as the Syndicate continues deliberations on the appropriate framework for handling examination-related documentation discrepancies.
