Umno need not question PAS sincerity over Terengganu snap poll plan

PAS election director Mohd Sanusi Md Nor has defended the proposed snap election in Terengganu, rejecting suggestions that Umno should verify PAS's commitment to their political partnership ahead of any dissolution of the state assembly.
Mohd Sanusi's remarks come as discussions intensify within the ruling Perikatan Nasional coalition regarding the timing and necessity of snap polls in several states. His comments underline the alignment between PAS and its partners in the federal government.
The PAS official pointed to the performance of the Umno-led coalition in recent state elections as evidence of stability within the alliance. He noted that Umno had not lost any seats during contests held in Johor and Negeri Sembilan, suggesting the partnership remains robust.
