Umno, PAS must begin negotiations now for Perak cooperation

Ibnu Rasyeed Mat Isa, a delegate from Perak Umno Youth, has called for urgent dialogue between Umno and PAS to materialise any potential political cooperation in the state. Speaking on the prospect of a working alliance, he stressed that negotiations must commence without further delay if the two parties are serious about collaboration.
A key sticking point in any future arrangement will be the distribution of parliamentary and state assembly seats. Ibnu Rasyeed emphasised that any deal must be fundamentally fair and balanced, rejecting the notion that an equal 50-50 division is the only viable framework for cooperation.
