MANILA — The Philippine National Police (PNP) said the 2026 Undas observance proceeded without major incidents, with reports from police units across the country describing the nationwide cemetery visits as peaceful and well-organized.
From October 30 to November 2, more than 40.7 million Filipinos visited cemeteries, memorial parks, and columbaria throughout the country to pay respects to deceased loved ones, according to PNP data.
The disciplined conduct of visitors and effective coordination among law enforcement agencies helped maintain order at major burial grounds and religious sites during the extended holiday period, authorities noted.
The peaceful Undas observance underscores Filipinos' continued reverence for the traditional holiday while demonstrating public compliance with safety and crowd management measures implemented by authorities during the commemoration season.
