UniMAP hosts inaugural passing-out ceremony for 1,885 military cadets

Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) is set to host its first-ever passing-out ceremony for military cadets, marking a significant milestone for the institution. The national-level event will take place on September 12 and is expected to draw cadet officers from the Royal Malaysian Navy, Royal Malaysian Air Force, and Malaysian Army.

The ceremony will see approximately 1,885 young military personnel complete their officer training and officially transition into active service roles within the Malaysian Armed Forces. The scale of the event underscores UniMAP's expanding role in officer development and training for the nation's defence establishment.

This inaugural hosting represents recognition of the university's capabilities and contributions to military education in Malaysia. The participation of cadets from all three service branches reflects the inter-service cooperation and integration efforts within the armed forces.

The passing-out ceremony is a traditional and significant occasion within military institutions, formally recognizing the completion of training and the readiness of new officers to assume their duties. The event is expected to be attended by high-ranking military officials and government representatives.
