United Airlines Flight Returns After Passenger Posts Bomb Threat Message

A United Airlines flight operating between Las Vegas and New Jersey turned back mid-flight after crew members became aware of a threatening message posted by a passenger aboard the aircraft.

The message, in which the passenger claimed he would hijack the plane and cause it to crash, prompted immediate action from authorities. The flight was diverted back to Las Vegas, where it landed safely and law enforcement responded to the scene.

Police identified the suspect as Dante Milne. During questioning, Milne claimed the threatening message was intended as a joke directed at a colleague and that he had no actual intent to harm anyone on board or damage the aircraft.

The incident highlights heightened security protocols at U.S. airports and on commercial aircraft, where threats of hijacking or sabotage are treated with utmost seriousness regardless of stated intent. No injuries were reported, and the aircraft was cleared after investigation.

The case has been referred to relevant authorities for further review and potential legal action.
