United States pledges US$500,000 aid package for flood-stricken Nepal

The United States has announced a US$500,000 aid package to support Nepal's recovery from recent catastrophic flooding that has caused widespread destruction across the country. The commitment reflects Washington's solidarity with the affected population during a critical period of humanitarian need.
In addition to the financial assistance, the US State Department said it would deploy a disaster response adviser to the region to assess conditions and help coordinate international relief operations. The adviser will work with local authorities and partner organisations to identify priority areas for assistance and ensure aid reaches those most in need.
