University Vice-Chancellor Among Three Arrested in Fake Degree Scam

The Special Operations Group (SOG) in Rajasthan has arrested three individuals, including a university vice-chancellor, in a major admission fraud case linked to the 2022 Physical Training Instructor (PTI) recruitment examination. The arrests stem from an investigation into counterfeit Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) degrees that were allegedly used by candidates to secure government positions.

The investigation has expanded significantly, with authorities now scrutinizing the credentials of approximately 66 candidates who obtained degrees from the university during the relevant period. Officials are examining whether additional fraudulent qualifications were issued beyond those directly linked to the PTI recruitment drive.
